Siamo arrivati a GERACE, siamo al centro della Sicilia e quindi nel posto migliore per poter visitare quanto di meglio l'isola offre sia sotto l'aspetto naturalistico che culturale. C'è una chiesetta con una bella statua marmorea della Madonna attribuita alla scuola del Gaggini, e la nuova struttura è ottimamente inserita nel complesso del borgo cinquecentesco. Se vogliamo visitare la zona in poco tempo possiamo andare ad Enna, ricca di storia, musei, chiese e castelli; a Piazza Armerina dove c'è la splendida villa romana del Casale con i pavimenti a mosaico; a Morgantina a vedere l'insediamento greco; a visitare il castello ed il bosco di Sperlinga ed il tetto ligneo dipinto nel duomo di Nicosia e tutti i laghi ed i boschi della provincia. Sarà bello, volendo allontanarci un po di più, andare a Cefalù, a Caltagirone con le splendide ceramiche, a Taormina, a Palermo, sull'Etna, ad Agrigento, Siracusa ritornando la sera, dopo tante emozioni, a riposarci nella tranquillità di queste valli.
We are in Gerace, in the centre of Sicily, the best place to visit the whole island with all its natural and cultural beauties.

In Gerace, there's a little church with a beautiful marble statue attributed to Gagini followers. If you want to visit the zone, in few minutes you can reach Enna, with lots of museums and churches, its castle and its history; Piazza Armerina where you can visit the wonderful Villa del Casale with the mosaic pavement; Morgantina where there's the anciente greek city;

Sperlinga with its beautiful castle and the wood; Nicosia with the wonderful cathedral and its wooden roof. And don't forget all the lakes and the woods of the zone. It will be nice, if you want to go a little bit farther, to reach Cefalù, Caltagirone, Taormina, Palermo, the Etna volcano, Agrigento, Siracusa. After all these emotions, it will be amazing to come back to Gerace and have a rest in this peaceful valley.
